I build software for a living. Many projects, many teams, many industries. Mostly in leadership roles for a while now — but I still write code. That part doesn't go away.

I'm also, depending on who you ask, a little obsessed with coffee. I'd never put it that way myself. People who know me would. I've spent more time than is reasonable on origins, varieties, processing methods, grinder geometry, pressure profiles — the list keeps growing. The more I learn, the more I notice how much I don't know, and how many people know vastly more than I do.

Software works the same way. I know a lot about building it. I keep studying. I keep learning. And the cup keeps getting bigger faster than I can fill it.

Which is the good news, actually. It keeps the work interesting, and it keeps me honest.
